REMEMBER REMEMBER THE 5TH NOVEMBER

SUPER THURSDAY TOMORROW - 5TH NOVEMBER

What is Super Thursday?

Tomorrow we have Super Thursday. A whole raft of data will be released in connection to UK monetary policy, inflation and Bank of England Governor Mark Carney is also speaking.

This will create a volatile market on Thursday and will see GBP either gain or lose ground this week.

What does this mean to you?

Well if you are considering buying or selling a property abroad or need to move currency for any reason then tomorrow could be the day to do it or at least the day to talk to our trusted currency partner, Ben Amrany, perhaps the best opportunity is for someone buying soon to 'forward book' your currency so you make the most of your exchange and then have a set budget to buy your dream home in France!

What is the current exchange rate?

Wednesday ended with £1.00 GBP buying you 1.4166 euros or 1.5369 USD or 2.0235 Canadian Dollars to name but a few rates. These rates represent over a 2 month high so always good to know when the markets are potentially topping out!

If not only for Guy Fawkes and your bonfire party, Thursday 5th November stands to be an interesting day

You may contact me directly using this form (click here) with your requirement and I will explain the options that are available to you in getting the best exchange rate.

 Have a Super Thursday

Follow your heart and make the move

Email from client on 3rd November 2015

Evening David,

Well since I last "spoke to you back in January - our lives have completely changed. From April until August things were manic and the way it worked, the office closed where I worked at the end of July and we sold our house in the UK  on the 31st July too!! All very crazy but exciting too. We were homeless in the UK for 2 days, so had to rough it in a hotel then we came over on the 3rd August full time. We had hired a van mid July and brought over the bulk of the furniture, brought more with us when we came over and the last few bits are in a storage unit for now in the UK.

Mixing in with French neighbours -

We have now been here three months and we are loving every minute. We are getting on well with our French neighbours and have had aperitifs or coffee with them and returned the favour. It is helping our French immensely and we love the fact it is all French - we are in France and want to speak French and the people really do warm to you. Every Wednesday we have a lady who comes round in a van with bread, and various other epicerie items and I meet my elderly neighbour at the van and get the kiss on each cheek.

Learning French -

We do our research and find things out for ourselves, which has sometimes been much easier than others have implied - proof of this was getting our phone line and Internet sorted at SFR, all done in french with the assistant and we took all the necessary documents as I checked it out online first - we were in, sorted and leaving within 15  minutes.

We are taking french lessons at the local AIKB with a lovely french lady and we are amazed how many people we have met don't make the effort to improve their french or make the effort to chat with their french neighbours.

Dont spend the rest of your life saying "what if" -

Anyway, life is good and we seem to have amazed friends and family by following our hearts and making the move. At the end of the day - you have to just do it, so we dont spend the rest of our lives saying "what if"

The next few months will hopefully see us sorting our carte vitale, registering for work and transferring our car and van over to French plates.

Hope everything is going well for you and Sharon.

Kind regards, Karen.

Karen bought a house in France with Cle France in the Cotes d'Armor department of the sunshine region of Brittany.

We arranged everything of course and made sur Karen was fully informed of the buying process right through to completion day in 2013 and beyond.

It is nice to keep in touch with our clients even more than 2 years later, it is that personal and professional service that makes everything worthwhile.

Thank you Cle France

Your lady estate agent was lovely and very helpful at all times

Hi Sharon,

Here is an update about our latest foray into Normandy house hunting last week, thank you as always for arranging the viewings!  It is amazing the different types of properties that are on offer.

We had a look at the property near Domfront which actually I was really keen on as it has a stunning garden and I liked the look of the conservatory part etc. but to be honest won't be pursuing this.

"Your Agent, the lady estate agent was lovely and very helpful at all times"

The house in Le Ham (BHJ01691) has a great-sized garden with potential to add a hardstanding to park the cars and needs some work but essentially just redecoration and new kitchen as always.

Your Agent was very helpful and pleasant and in fact retrieved a massive lever arch file from his car of properties (significantly apartments) which was daunting after getting up at 3am LOL!  Very helpful chap.

We are still mulling over our visit but in the meantime many many thanks as always for arranging the viewings.

With best wishes, Lynn.

We are always keen to hear that our agents on the ground in France, Normandy in this case, are doing a good job and meeting our client expectations. Selecting a dream home in France should be an enjoyable process after all.

Thank You Cle France

Your agent was so helpful to us

Good morning Sharon, we had an extremely busy and interesting weekend in Brittany and viewed many properties.

Your agent was so helpful to us and we spent a lot of time with him on Saturday afternoon, viewing 3 properties and we went on our own on Sunday morning to see another property that he had suggested might suit us.

Decisions - Decisions, will let you know soon.

Shelley.

We currently have more than 1000 houses for sale in Brittany on our website and a few more thousand in most regions of France so Cle France is the place to be.

If you are looking for the right house in Brittany we have a lot to choose from and, who knows, we may find the right house for you soon!

Thank You Cle France

Your agent was incredibly helpful and not at all pushy!

Hi Sharon,

Altogether we have seen 6 properties in Lower Normandy and Mayenne including Javron, Champeon, St Leonard Les Bois and St Julien de Terroir.

The 2nd viewing went well. I think the children have voted for that one [with the bigger garden].

Jean-Pierre was incredibly helpful and not at all pushy!

We have a lot to think about now but will get back to you once we are back in Somerset!

Thanks again, Simon.

It is always nice to hear back that our agents on the ground in France, Normandy and Mayenne in this case, are doing a good job and meeting our client expectations. Our client is now considering making an offer on one of the houses we showed them, getting ever closer to owning their dream home in France!

Thank You Cle France
